Asian food chain Wagamama has been crowned the most child-friendly restaurant at Liverpool's Food and Drink Festival Awards 2010, highlighting the importance of restaurant feedback from families.
The ceremony, which took place yesterday, named the UK-headed restaurant the place most liked by families with children.
The Carriage Works in London was named restaurant of overall excellence at the awards evening.
Councillor Wendy Simon, Liverpool City Council cabinet member for culture and tourism, told the Liverpool Daily Post: "The awards have showcased the fantastic diversity of food and drink we have on offer in this city.
"I was delighted to see so many people taking part in the festival and sampling restaurants they might not have tried before. Our food and drink sector is thriving, and these awards are a real celebration of that."
Launched in Sefton Park on 12th September, the festival has hosted over 40,000 foodies tasting the delights of 80 of Liverpool's diverse bars and restaurants.
Wagamama has 66 restaurants in the UK and 38 internationally.
