Cosy Club to expand into Cardiff and Salisbury

Two more sites have been secured for Cosy Club in Cardiff and Salisbury, which will add to the Loungers group of 21 outlets.

St David's 2 shopping centre will be home to the new venture in Cardiff and be the largest unit the group owns and runs, according to William Reed Business Media's M&C Report.

The Salisbury site will be housed in a Grade II listed building, which once served as an arts college on New Street.

Both new ventures are expected to be opened at the end of the summer or early autumn and the group is on track to have the 28 sites it desires by the end of the year.

The Cosy Club concept is designed to appeal to the female market and is described by the operator itself as a cross between a gents club, village hall and cricket pavilion.

Meanwhile the company's lounge format will open another site in Westbourne in Bournemouth next week.
