Food-ordering app launched by wagamama

wagamama has unveiled the first iPhone food-ordering app seen in the UK.

The new tool allows would-be diners to place their order while out and about, with their selection transmitted straight to the location of the nearest restaurant.

Users can browse the menu and choose from a selection of their favourite dishes, before payment can be made via a debit or credit card.

With the device able to detect the nearest wagamama branch, customers are able to select the most convenient time to dine.

Steve Hill, chief executive officer of the chain, stated: "We're proud to be the first UK restaurant chain to introduce its own iPhone app - and it's great to be bringing the speed and quality of wagamama's service to the latest in consumer technology."

The application is downloadable via Apple's iPhone app store and coincides with the re-launch of the wagamamatakeout.com takeaway site.

wagamama's restaurants are modelled on Japanese ramen bars.ADNFCR-2719-ID-19631082-ADNFCR
